In 2012, the SPCC Board implemented a Youth Outcomes Plan for Saint Paul. A Youth Outcomes Plan is similar to a youth agenda, a city blueprint or a young people’s bill of rights. The purpose is to set a vision for the future, assess current resources and needs and create a road-map for moving forward that ensures accountability and sustainability.
The Saint Paul Children’s Collaborative uses the Youth Outcomes Plan framework to guide our grant-making process. Our Youth Outcomes Plan focuses our work on these eight goals:
Learn:
Young people are ready for kindergarten
Young people are reading by third grade
Grow:
Young people have health coverage
Young people are connected to caring adults
Thrive:
Young people are safe and free from child abuse and neglect
Young people graduate from high school
Young people have high social competence (Added in January 2025 – no data yet)
Young people have a positive identity (Added in January 2025 – no data yet)
